SUBARQUITECTURA (APR 05) is formed by Andrés Silanes (NOV 77), Fernando Valderrama (AGO 79) and Carlos Bañón (OCT 78).
They are Architects (OCT 04) and Master in Complex Architetures (2005-2007) by the University of Alicante.
They have realized infrastructural works as the PLAZA and TRAM STOP in Sergio Cardell’s roundabout (2006), which has been awarded in the IX Biennial of Spanish Architecture, nominated to the 2009 Mies Van der Rohe awards, Runner-Up in the Valencian Community Awards, Second Prize in Lamp Lighting Solutions, Honorable Mention in the Balthasar Neumann Biennial in Germany as well as selected between the best 10 world designs by the Design Museum of London.
They have built several sport facilities like the 3D Athletics Track in Elda (2010) or the refurbishment of the HERCULES C.F. STADIUM in Alicante (2011). Nowadays they are developing the project for a SPORTS PAVILLION in Pedreguer.
Recently they have been nominated for the IAKOV CHERNIKHOV’S INTERNATIONAL AWARD.
They develop their teaching activity at the School of Architecture in Alicante and taking part, in parallel, in numerous workshops around Spain.
